The Royal Irish Academy(RIA) developed and delivers this Bursary scheme to encourage new local research and local history studies (local, national and regional) relating to the struggle for independence and the civil war periods at community level.

The Commemorations Bursary scheme is now open for applications and will close on Friday, 9 August 2024.
