Head of Postal, Internet and Emergency Planning Unit

The Head of Postal, Internet and Emergency Planning Unit has responsibility at Head of Business Unit level for:

  • the development of postal policy, including engagement with international bodies such as the Universal Postal Union, and oversight of the legislative framework underpinning regulation of the postal sector;
  • internet governance;
  • working with the telecommunications industry and the regulator in relation to measures to reduce nuisance communications;
  • emergency planning and response for the telecommunications sector; and
  • corporate governance of An Post and the Commission for Communications Regulation.
