Principal Officer, Gaeltacht Development

Responsibility at Principal Officer level for overseeing the administration of the Gaeltacht Language planning process, for the administration of the Gaeltacht Community and Language Supports Programme, including supports for the Irish summer colleges sector, and for the monitoring of governance arrangements within Údarás na Gaeltachta. Also oversees the administration of the Department's Capital Programmes aimed at developing language-based cultural and recreational infrastructure both within and outside the Gaeltacht.
