Responsibility at Principal Officer level for progressing the Major International Sports Events Policy and Strategy Framework. Also responsible at PO level for assessing any new proposals for the hosting of major sports events in Ireland including any future US football games. Oversight of all aspects of State support for confirmed major sports events including the EURO 2028 football tournament.
