Office of Veterans Affairs

The Office of Veterans Affairs engages with established Veteran Associations and advocates on behalf of Veterans, at a group level across Government in order to ensure that Veterans receive the support and benefits to which they are entitled.

The Office was formally established on the 10th of November 2025.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Partnership with Veteran Associations:
  • Research on Veterans:
  • Advocacy for Veterans, as a group:
  • Consideration of the issues involved in drafting a Veterans Policy.

The work of the Office will initially be focused on developing these roles and responsibilities.

Individual queries should continue to be made with the relevant Veterans Association, Department Branch or Defence Forces office, as appropriate.
