Primary School Survey

Help shape the future of your child’s primary school

Take part in the Primary School Survey today.

It’s quick, easy, and confidential.

This survey is for parents and guardians of children in primary school or who will enter primary school in the coming years. There is a separate survey below for primary school staff and board of management members.

Parents and guardians – you will need your Eircode to do the survey. We will only use your Eircode for this survey.

Find your Eircode

School staff and board of management members – you will need a PIN to do the survey. We are sending the PIN to your school from 7 November 2025.

Staff can email the department if they haven't received a PIN by 14 November 2025.

Don’t miss your chance to have your say – survey closes 16 December 2025.

The survey asks parents, guardians, school staff and board of management members to have your say about your primary school.

The results of the survey will help the Department of Education and Youth plan how we provide education at primary level. The results will also allow each school to consider, along with their school community, what they need to do to meet parental demand in the future.

If you have any questions or problems doing the survey, please email the Department of Education and Youth - schoolsurvey@education.gov.ie

Thank you for taking part in this important survey.
