Home Tuition Grant Scheme 2018 / 2019 (for children without a school place other than children with Special Educational needs)

The purpose of this Home Tuition Scheme is to provide a temporary educational measure for a child who is temporarily without a school place, or without the offer of a school place and for whom a place school is being actively sought in a school recognised by the Department of Education and Skills. Application forms for this Out of School strand of Home Tuition are only available from the local Educational Welfare Officer, contact details available on the TUSLA website. A second strand of this scheme is for children in care, only, who are without a school place due to priority emergency placement or placement disruption. Application forms are only available from the appointed social worker.
