ETB/Shared Services Programme Board

The ETB/Shared Services Programme Board (formerly ETB/SOLAS Programme Board) represents senior managers across the Department of Education, the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, SOLAS, Education and Training Boards (ETBs) and Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI).

The ETB/Shared Services Programme Board provides governance and direction for the delivery of the ETB Shared Services portfolio of programmes and projects.

The group aims to meet on a quarterly basis.

• Ensuring the ongoing overall alignment of the programmes and projects with the strategic direction of the ETB sector as articulated in the strategy documents for the two Departments, SOLAS and the ETBs.
• Approving and agreeing plans for the shared services portfolio of programmes and projects for the ETB sector.
• Ensuring coordination across programmes and with other initiatives to ensure strategic alignment and appropriate prioritisation with a focus in the short to medium term on risk mitigation, statutory and regulatory compliance, implementation of C&AG recommendations and development of the shared services model.
• Ensure that Programme and Project management risk is kept under review and that appropriate mitigation actions are developed and acted upon.
• Advising and supporting the Senior Responsible Officer.
• Actively supporting the delivery of the shared services portfolio of programmes.
