Creative Schools

Creative Schools is an initiative led by the Arts Council with support from the Department of Education and Youth. Schools take part in a two-year guided journey to develop and implement a Creative Schools Plan unique to their own school. Each participating school or setting is matched with a Creative Associate who guides and supports staff, students, learners and parents.

Since 2018, Creative Schools has supported more than 1,000 communities and schools to explore creativity and develop and implement their Creative Schools plan while working with a trained Creative Associate.
