Domestic violence and abuse policy and supports for recognised primary and post-primary schools and ETBs
The attached policy document sets out that recognised primary and post-primary schools and ETBs should commit to supporting staff who are impacted by domestic violence and abuse by creating awareness and providing workplace supports, including statutory domestic violence leave. The policy document provides information on the type of supports that can be provided, other considerations that must be taken into account by an employer, such as issues around confidentiality and training, and provides a reference source for other supports that may be accessed by people who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
