Promoting and facilitating student participation and student leadership in schools
Participation with purpose means that children and young people’s views are listened to, taken seriously and given due weight with the intention of leading to an outcome or change within the decision-making process. This series of videos, created by the Inspectorate during 2024-2026 in collaboration with a number of post-primary schools, shares how these schools promote and facilitate the development of student participation and student leadership.
