Orla O'Brien

Orla has responsibility at Principal level for the Department’s Data and Evaluation Unit. The Surveys/Data Unit produces the Annual Business Survey of Economic Impact (ABSEI) and the Annual Employment Survey (AES) for the evaluation of client performance in the enterprise development agencies. They also assist with the use of this and other data to inform enterprise policy through the work of the Division and intra and inter Departmental work. The Evaluation Unit conducts programme evaluations and spending reviews to inform enterprise policy and advises on appropriate evaluation methods and practices to ensure value for money from the Department’s expenditure.
