Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation: Working to Progress Ireland’s Trade and Investment Objectives

This booklet outlines how the department, working with three of its Agencies, namely Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland, strives to:

• support Irish exporters grow market share in international markets
• attract foreign direct investment (FDI)
• promote Ireland’s reputation for scientific excellence

The report also describes how the department’s officials represent Ireland’s trade and investment interests in relevant EU fora in Brussels and in the World Trade Organisation in Geneva, and in the capitals of key trading partners.
