These Regulations give full effect in Irish law to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 by amending the European Union (Personal Protective Equipment) Regulations 2018 (SI No 136 of 2018) that gave full effect to Regulation (EU) 2016/425 (PPE).
