Responsibility at Principal level of managing the performance of the staff of Finance Unit, overseeing the department's compliance with Public Financial Procedures, preparing the department's Appropriation Account, ensuring that payments/receipts are made in accordance with statutory requirements, co-ordinating the department's annual estimates process, overseeing the ongoing analysis/reporting of expenditure including the timely issue of returns to the Department of Public Expenditure and engaging with the Payroll Shared Services Centre of the National Shared Services Office in relation to the weekly and fortnightly payroll runs and T&S payments to staff.
