The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment is seeking stakeholders’ views on the European Commission’s proposed Chips Act.
The Chips Act is built on 3 pillars:
- a Chips for Europe Initiative
- a framework to ensure security of supply
- a coordination mechanism between Member States and the Commission
Submissions
The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Friday, 18 March 2022.
Submissions should be marked “European Chips Act” and should be emailed to EUChipsAct@enterprise.gov.ie

The European Commission has also launched a targeted stakeholder consultation available at European Chips Survey (europa.eu). The Commission’s consultation will be open until 20 March 2022.
