Minister Donohoe submits his candidacy for a second term as President of the Eurogroup

The Minister for Finance and President of the Eurogroup Paschal Donohoe, has submitted to the General Secretariat of the Council his letter of motivation in respect of a second term as the President of the Eurogroup.

The deadline for candidates to apply is 24 November, 12 noon CET.

The vote will take place at the Eurogroup meeting on 5 December.

The President of the Eurogroup is elected by a simple majority (at least 10 votes), in line with the EU Treaty’s Protocol 14 on the Eurogroup.
