Minister McGrath welcomes NAMA’s transfer of €350 million surplus to the Exchequer

The Minister for Finance Michael McGrath has welcomed the transfer by NAMA of €350 million of its lifetime surplus to the Exchequer. This brings the total contribution from NAMA to the Exchequer to €4.25 billion to date, which comprises of €3.85 billion in cash surplus payments and over €400 million in Corporation Tax.

The Minister said:

“Today’s transfer of €350 million of NAMA’s lifetime surplus to the Exchequer represents yet another positive step as the Agency approaches its orderly wind down.

"To date, NAMA has transferred a total of €3.85 billion in cash surplus payments to the Exchequer from its projected lifetime surplus of €4.5 billion. When coupled with corporation tax paid of over €400 million, NAMA’s overall monetary contribution to the Exchequer is expected to total almost €5 billion.”
