President of the Eurogroup and Minister for Finance for Ireland, Paschal Donohoe, to visit the Netherlands

President of the Eurogroup and Minister for Finance for Ireland, Paschal Donohoe TD, is travelling today (Monday, 19 May) to the Netherlands for a series of meetings with national authorities to discuss recent macroeconomic developments, budgetary coordination and Eurogroup priorities, including the digital euro and making progress on the Savings and Investments Union.
In the morning, he will meet the Dutch Finance Minister Eelco Heinen in the Hague. In the afternoon he will travel to Amsterdam where he will meet the President of the Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank) Klaas Knot.
Ahead of the meeting, the Eurogroup President said:
“I look forward to visiting the Netherlands and discussing with my colleagues current economic developments and the outlook for the euro area, coordination of our budgetary policies and how we can work together towards our priorities for a stronger and more resilient euro area, especially in relation to deepening our capital markets and progressing on the digital future of our currency.”
