Statement from Tánaiste and Minister for Finance on election of new Eurogroup President

Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, Simon Harris TD, has congratulated his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Pierrakakis following his election as the new President of the Eurogroup.

Speaking in Brussels, the Tánaiste said:

“I want to sincerely congratulate Kyriakos Pierrakakis on his election as President of the Eurogroup.

“I was delighted to host the Minister in Dublin last Monday and I very much look forward to working with him in driving forward the common strategic agenda of the Eurozone that will focus on real delivery for our people.”
