Tánaiste speaks with Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves

Tánaiste and Minster for Finance, Simon Harris TD, held a phone call this afternoon (5 December) with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves.

The Tánaiste and the Chancellor discussed a range of matters including the Ireland-UK trading relationship, Ireland’s upcoming EU’s Presidency and EU-UK relations.

The Tánaiste also updated the Chancellor on his participation in the 44th British-Irish Council Summit, which took place in Wales on 5 December.

The Tánaiste and the Chancellor agreed to stay in close contact and looked forward to meeting in person soon.
