The Role
The Department of Finance invites applications for the senior management role of Head of Finance. This is a senior management role and an exciting opportunity to leading the financial function of the organisation and primarily responsible for the Department’s Finance and Exchequer Units.
As a member of senior management you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the achievement of the Department’s strategic objectives and will be responsible for all aspects of financial control, including statutory and regulatory requirements, financial reporting, and budget development.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Finance and Exchequer Units;
- Responsibility for ensuring that all the Department’s obligations to the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) in the operation of the Central Fund are met;
- Oversight of the annual Estimates process;
- Lead on the formation, development and review of finance strategies, policies and procedures;
- Keeping the Secretary General and the Executive Board informed on all budgetary matters within the Department;
- Responsibility for management and development of Departmental risk processes and procedures, management of the compliance function, including the roles of Data Protection Officer and Procurement Officer.
- Leading and managing the teams operating within a collaborative team working environment.
