Welcome to our 3rd issue of What’s News in Financial Literacy – our newsletter to all stakeholders involved in Ireland’s Financial Literacy Ecosystem.
This winter marks the end of the first year of the National Financial Literacy Strategy and the new year’s arrival provides an opportunity to not only reflect on our progress but also to look forward to the new.
From the information stakeholders provided in the 2026 Stakeholder Actions Survey, the Financial Literacy Team is finalising the 2025 Annual Review and Action Plan for 2026/2027 and planning continues for our first Annual Stakeholder Forum.
The Strategy’s working groups have also continued their work, with the Review Working Group issuing a survey to industry as part of initial work on the Guidelines review. As we enter spring, a great deal of activity is currently underway to support Global Money Week 2026.
Global Money Week represents an important opportunity to raise financial awareness among young people. The CCPC, together with the GMW Working Group will launch GMW in Ireland on 11 March 2025.
If you would like any more information regarding the below or would like to let us know about any events or activities for the next newsletter please reach out to the Financial Literacy Team at financialliteracy@finance.gov.ie
Happy New Year to all our stakeholders and we look forward to working with you as we enter into the second year of the National Financial Literacy Strategy.
