Quantity Surveyor Grade III - Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

The Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade is launching a recruitment campaign for the purpose of recommending persons for appointment to the above position in that Department.

The post of Quantity Surveyor Grade III is a full-time position, based in Dublin or Limerick working under the direction of a Quantity Surveyor Grade I and/or PMU Director. The Property Management Unit (PMU) QS function has a particular focus on robust project definition, cost planning, strategic procurement and development of effective project delivery strategies. All DFAT property projects are managed in compliance with the requirements of the Capital Works Management Framework, Infrastructure Guidelines and DFAT Programme Oversight Board. Candidates should note that a willingness to travel, occasionally at short notice, is important.


Essential Requirements:

* Candidates must be citizens of Ireland;

* Hold a qualification of at least level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or an equivalent qualification

* be a person named on a register maintained pursuant to Part 4 (Registration of Quantity Surveyors) of the Building Control Act 2007

* have at least 3 years relevant post-qualification experience providing full quantity surveying service
