Appointment to St. James Hospital Board:

On the nomination of the Chairperson in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer, The Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD has appointed Ms Jenny Fisher to the St. James Hospital Board with effect from 17 February 2026 until 16 February 2032.

Jenny Fisher is the Chief Executive Officer of NBI Deployment, leading the delivery of Ireland’s largest rural infrastructure investment since rural electrification.

Jenny joined National Broadband Ireland in 2020, bringing over two decades of leadership and advisory experience on complex, high-profile projects within highly regulated and publicly accountable sectors. She built her career in the infrastructure industry, with particular expertise across water, transport, education and waste sectors, as well as other regulated environments.

Before her appointment as CEO, Jenny served as the Chief Legal & Administration Officer & Chief Security Officer in NBI, responsible for overseeing all legal and regulatory affairs, with a particular focus on corporate governance and ensuring compliance with the company’s obligations to the State.

Earlier in her career, Jenny was a partner for five years at one of Ireland’s leading law firms, where she advised on major infrastructure and commercial projects. She subsequently played a pivotal role in the establishment of Irish Water, leading its legal function from inception, and later served as Head of Corporate, Legal & Regulatory Affairs at the National Lottery for four years, overseeing governance, compliance, and regulatory strategy in a highly scrutinised sector.

Jenny previously served as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee for the charity Self Help Africa.
