Appointment to the Board of the Health Service Executive (HSE)

Following a publicjobs campaign, the Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD has appointed Mr Patrick J Bailey with effect from 20 November 2025 until 19 November 2028.

Mr Patrick Bailey

Patrick is a highly experienced governance, risk and assurance professional who started his career training as an account at PricewaterhouseCoopers and went on to hold senior governance and assurance roles in multi-nationals, financial institutions, public bodies and regulators. Patrick has worked internationally for over two decades in senior roles of increasing responsibility within financial services, pharmaceuticals, regulatory authorities, and public service. As an experienced non-executive director and board committee chair, Patrick has extensive experience of board level expectations and stakeholder requirements when it comes to GRC, organisational strategy, financial oversight/reporting, and evaluating organisational performance.
