On the nomination of the Occupational Therapists Board, the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has appointed Ms. Catriona Sweeney to the Health and Social Care Professionals Council with effect from 26 October 2022 to 30 June 2025.
Catriona Sweeney
Catriona Sweeney is an award-winning Occupational Therapist with vast clinical experience and a wide range of transferable skills. A University College Cork graduate, Catriona initially worked in Adult Primary Care Services and then in children services. She also has significant experience working in America in inpatient rehabilitation. On returning to Ireland, Catriona completed a MSc in Older Adult Rehabilitation and has worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist in Mental Health Services, Older Adult Rehabilitation and also manages her own private practice. Catriona is particularly highly skilled in working with amputees, as she has worked for over ten years in a specialist amputee rehabilitation clinic.
