On the nomination of the President of the hospital, the Minister for Health, Mr Simon Harris TD, has reappointed the following as a member of the Tallaght Hospital Board from 22 May 2020 to 21 May 2023:
Mr Liam Dowdall
Since 2019, Liam is a Consultant in the Restructuring and Recovery department of Smith & Williamson. From March 2010 to 31stJanuary 2016 he was Head of the Restructuring and Recovery department.
Liam has spent over 30 years working in Corporate Advisory and Corporate Recovery. Prior to joining Smith & Williamson, Liam spent 27 years with BDO including 5 years (1990-1995) as Managing Partner. From 1997 to 2009, Liam was Partner in Charge of BDO’s Corporate Recovery Unit.
Other Positions and involvement
Liam is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tallaght Hospital since May 2017 and has served as a Non Executive Director on the Board for over 9 years.
Liam is also a Director of the Children’s Hospital Group Board.
Liam serves on the Leadership Committee of the Voluntary Health Forum.
