Appointments to the Hep C & HIV Compensation Tribunal

The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly T.D., has reappointed the following members of the Hep C & HIV Compensation Tribunal. These reappointments are with effect from 28 October 2021 until 27 October 2022:

Ms Adrienne Cawley BL

Adrienne Cawley was called to the Bar in 1994. She is a practising barrister specialising in the areas of family law, property law, landlord and tenant law, and probate. She has been a member of the Tribunal since August 2012.

Mr John Healy SC

John Healy SC has practised in the Four Courts since 1999 and has considerable experience in the fields of civil litigation, medical law, constitutional law, and judicial review. He is also the author of a number of authoritative legal books, including Medical Malpractice Law (Thomson Roundhall, Brehon Library, 2008) and Irish Laws of Evidence (Roundhall, 2004). He has been a member of the Tribunal since 21st September 2012

Mr Joseph O’Sullivan BL

Joseph O’Sullivan BL has practiced at the Bar of Ireland since 1997. His main areas of practice are Judicial Review /Administrative Law, Commercial Law and Professional Negligence. He is a member of the Council of the Bar of Ireland and Chair of its Human Rights Committee. He has been a member of the Tribunal since 21st September 2012.

Mr Stephen Boggs BL

Stephen Boggs is a graduate of the University of Limerick and the Honourable Society of the King’s Inns. He was called to the Bar and has been a member of the Law Library since 2005. Stephen practices primarily in the area of Civil litigation at all levels of the Court system. Stephen has years of experience in decision making, as a sitting member of statutory Tribunals. He lives in Dublin with his family.
