Following a publicjobs campaign the Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD has with the consent of the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, appointed Dr Johnmary Arinze with effect from the 4 March 2026 until the 23 January 2028.

Dr Johnmary Arinze

Dr Johnmary Arinze is a medical doctor and clinical epidemiologist with extensive experience in real-world evidence, health outcomes research, and public health leadership. He has worked across academic, clinical, and industry settings, including roles supporting EU-wide regulatory and evidence-generation initiatives. His work focuses on improving healthcare quality, patient outcomes, and evidence-informed policy. He currently resides in Cork and is actively engaged in health research and advisory activities.
