Reappointments to the Consultative Council on Hep C:

The Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD has re-appointed the following as members of the Consultative Council on Hep C with effect from 8 March 2025 until 7 March 2028.
Ms Aoife Smith
Ms Aoife Smith is a fully accredited humanistic integrative psychotherapist, working in private practice since 2008. She was also a specialist care representative in the healthcare industry for twenty years, during this time gaining invaluable experience working in chronic illness in the form of diabetes, respiratory diseases, and pain management. She is the coordinator of counselling services at the Irish Kidney Association and is their nomination to the Consultative Council on Hepatitis C.
Ms Josephine Mahony
Ms Josephine Mahony was a founding member of Positive Action and worked with the group until 2004. She is currently working with the Anti-D Women’s Group. Before her appointment to the Consultative Council in 2019 she had previously served two terms.
Ms Christine Bruton
Ms Christine Bruton worked with Positive Action from 1994 and was an Executive Member of the group from 2009-2014. She is a previous member of the Consultative Council on Hepatitis C. She is currently a representative for women suffering from Hepatitis C in the North East.
