Complaints
To make a complaint regarding the health service, you can contact:
- The Patient Advocacy Service (PAS)who provide assistance with making a complaint regarding public health and social care services including public hospitals and nursing homes.
- HSE Your Service Your Say (YSYS)for complaints and feedback regarding all health services delivered by the HSE.
- For matters under the health and social care regulators, you should contact HIQA or the Mental Health Commission.
- Regulators of individual health and social care practitioners such as the Irish Medical Council, NMBI and CORU.

If you are unhappy with our response to a complaint/appeal then you can refer your complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman is fair, independent, and free to use.
