National Public Health Emergency Team held their 20th meeting today

The National Public Health Emergency Team on Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) held their 20th meeting today, 26th July 2018.

Items discussed at the meeting included an update from the HSE Implementation Team and the latest HPSC CPE Surveillance Report, which is available online.

The latest figures from the National CPE Reference Laboratory were presented to the group. In the period from 01 January to 22 July 2018 a total of 231 new cases of CPE have been detected.

The minutes of all previous meetings and related documents are published on the Department of Health website.
