Clinical Guidelines in Development
Maternity Guidelines
- in February 2016, the Minister for Health commissioned a set of National Clinical Guidelines for maternity services, to include Induction of Labour. This is in line with recommendations 28 and 31 of the National Maternity Strategy 2016-2026 which was approved by Government on 26th January 2016
- the ‘Childbirth’ Guideline Development Group has been meeting since June 2017. The initial focus has been on updating the NCEC IMEWS guideline and developing the Clinical Risk in Pregnancy National Clinical Guideline
