Responsibility for leading the clinical effectiveness policy function, national clinical effectiveness framework and promotion of evidence-based healthcare through quality assured national clinical guidelines, audit and general clinical practice guidance. The unit supports the National Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC), a Ministerial committee.
