Role

Principal Officer, Clinical Effectiveness, Antimicrobial Resistance

Responsibility for leading the clinical effectiveness policy function, national clinical effectiveness framework and promotion of evidence-based healthcare through quality assured national clinical guidelines, audit and general clinical practice guidance. The unit supports the National Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC), a Ministerial committee. Responsibility for health policy on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and infection prevention and control (IPC), including the implementation of the National Action Plans on AMR, the Interdepartmental Consultative Committee on AMR and the One Health approach to AMR.
