Deputy Chief Medical Officer

Responsibility for supporting the CMO, the CMO’s office, and the wider Department through the provision of evidence-based analysis and expert medical, clinical and public health advice to other policy areas as required in line with strategic priorities. Provision of specialist mental health policy and clinical advice to the Mental Health Units of the Department, with responsibility for the implementation of Ireland’s national mental health policy Sharing the Vision, and the national suicide reduction policy Connecting for Life.
