Principal Officer, Policy, Strategy and Innovation Policy

Responsibility at Principal level for strengthening policy capability and collaboration in the Department. This is achieved through policy education, policy governance through the work of the Policy Committee and links with Management Board Policy Forum; and sharing best practice in policy-making, working in partnership with Department policy units. In addition to the primary policy support function, the Unit currently holds a leadership and coordination role in the area of Women’s Health. This includes coordination and support of the work of the Women's Health Taskforce, the development of and oversight of the delivery of the Women's Health Action Plans and management of the Women's Health Fund.
