Principal Officer, Population Health Screening and Cardiovascular Policy

Responsibility at Principal level for preparing new and changes to existing policy, organised population-based screening programmes; Oversight of National Screening Service (NSS) (incorporating BreastCheck, CervicalCheck, BowelScreen, Diabetic RetinaScreen); HSE Newborn Screening Programmes; Secretariat for the National Screening Advisory Committee (NSAC); Policy to support public understanding, confidence, and uptake of Screening services. Policy responsibility for the development and implementation oversight of cardiovascular policy. support and oversight for the implementation of the HSE National Stroke Strategy 2022-2027 and the development and oversight of Neurology policy.
