Head of the Scientific Advice and Research Directorate. Responsible for the provision of high-quality scientific advice to underpin national nature conservation policy (as expressed in the National Biodiversity Action Plan), the provision of the scientific basis for nature conservation designations (under EU and national law) and conducting scientific monitoring and reporting as required under EU legislation.
