Responsibility at Head of Business Unit for Wildlife Enforcement and Nature Protection – NPWS for the oversight of wildlife crime, site protection and wildlife law enforcement matters and NPWS firearms policy. Oversees NPWS’s roles as Management Authority for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. Responsibility for management and policy development in relation to the NPWS Development Applications Unit, the oversight and for issuing licences under the Wildlife Acts, EC Birds and Habitats Regulations and the EC Licensing and Inspection of Zoos Regulations.
