Responsibility at Head of Business Unit level for the Housing Activation Office (HAO) and Housing Infrastructure Investment Fund.

The unit is responsible for working with stakeholders to accelerate the delivery of public infrastructure projects needed to unlock housing lands in towns and cities. This includes collaborating with local authorities, infrastructure providers, industry and others to address infrastructure barriers in a coordinated way.

The Office is developing a multi-annual programme of investment with utilities and transport agencies aimed at addressing infrastructure barriers. This includes developing and managing the €1bn Housing Infrastructure Investment Fund (HIIF) to support direct investment in infrastructure needed to accelerate housing development.
