Responsibility, as Head of Business Unit, for leading the evolution AHB Sectoral Policy in line with the vision and priorities committed to under the National Housing Plan, ‘Delivering Homes, Building Communities 2025 to 2030’ and the Report of the AHB Strategic Forum. This involves coordination of reform activity across DHLGH divisions with policy responsibility for funding schemes and policy areas relevant to the transformation of the AHB Sector, ongoing collaboration with the AHB Sector and other key stakeholders. This unit is also responsible for managing the legislative framework to support effective regulation of Approved Housing Bodies as well as providing corporate governance oversight in respect of the Approved Housing Body Regulatory Authority, the Housing Agency and the Housing Finance Agency. This includes the provision of secretariat and management support for the AHBRA appeals board.
