The European Union (Planning and Development) (Renewable Energy) (No. 3) Regulations 2025 Circular

This circular notifies planning authorities, the Commission and other key stakeholders of the making of The European Union (Planning and Development) (Renewable Energy) (No.3) Regulations 2025 (S.I. 435 of 2025). The Regulations were signed by the Minister on 24 of September and enter into force on that date.
The new Regulations seek to amend the commencement date at regulation 38(2) of S.I. 274 of 2025, which concerns the coming into effect of regulations 6, 12, 14 and 18 of that Statutory Instrument. This commencement date has been changed to on or after the 1 May 2026. This Circular should be read in conjunction with Circular letter CEPP 1/2025, which issued on 15 August 2025.
