A public consultation on proposed amendments to Part B of the Building Regulations and the associated Technical Guidance Document relating to fire safety ran from 30 January until 21 April 2023.
A large volume of correspondence (163 individual pieces) was received during the public consultation. Of these:
- A number were queries seeking clarification on the process e.g. timelines;
- A number were submitted, withdrawn, and re-submitted;
- A number were duplicate submissions from the same organisation.
While each piece of correspondence was examined and considered prior to finalisation of the Building Regulations (Part B Amendment) Regulations, Technical Guidance Document B, and the Regulatory Impact Analysis, the submissions published below represent the final versions of comments made on behalf of organisations and by individuals.
