Annual Returns for 2024 received from local authorities under the Derelict Sites Act 1990

Local authorities provide certain information regarding the implementation of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 in respect of their functional areas by submission an annual Derelict Sites Statistical Return to the Department. The information received reflects information available from the relevant Derelict Sites Register, which each local authority is obliged to maintain under Section 8 of the Act.

For each local authority this publication provides details including the number of sites on the Derelict Sites Register, sites acquired by agreement or compulsorily and the application of the Derelict Sites Levy under the Act, for the year 2024.
