  • More Cost Rental Homes, with rents at least 25% below regular market rents in the area, delivered at scale.
  • Rent Pressure Zones extended to a nationwide rent control system with rent increases capped at 2%
  • Strengthened tenancy protections, including significantly restricted ‘no fault evictions’.
  • New Short-term letting regulations to ensure homes are available for residential use where the need is greatest.
  • Rent Tax Credit extended and will be progressively increased in line with Programme for Government commitments.
  • A new Student Accommodation Strategy published.
