Heritage Ireland 2030 is built on public and stakeholder consultation.
The department held public and sectoral meetings when the plan was being developed. It also received 2,156 written submissions from the public. You can find the public consultation survey below, together with a report on the meetings and another report on the submissions.
Heritage Ireland 2030 also commits to carrying out a review of its structures after three years. As part of the review, the department carried out a stakeholder consultation between August and September 2025. The consultation focused on how the strategy is being delivered and on the actions set out in its action plan. You can view a report on the consultation results below.
