Yes. As your tenancy begins before 1 March 2026, the current rules will apply and your landlord can end your tenancy under any of the limited grounds for termination below, including on a “no fault” basis, provided they follow the correct notice periods and procedures. The rules for “no fault” evictions will change for tenancies that begin on or after 1 March 2026.
Grounds for termination:
- Tenant breach of obligations.
- The property is no longer suitable for the tenant’s needs,
- Wanting to sell the property,
- Needing the property for their own or a family member’s use,
- Substantial refurbishment,
- Change of use,
