Increasing Access to Equity for SMEs

Many smaller homebuilders struggle to access equity (investment money) to fund projects.

TheIreland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF)provides equity and debt to support housing projects, including SME builders.
ISIF launched a €400 million equity programme in 2023 and will commit another €400 million over the next three years to help scale housing delivery.
ISIF works with banks to unlock more funding for sites with planning permission.
Banks and Enterprise Ireland will also create a mentoring programme to help small developers grow and professionalise.
