Intergenerational Dependence on Social Housing

This working paper presents evidence drawn from a survey of households in receipt of social housing supports undertaken in 2023. We find elevated levels of more than 50 per cent of intergenerational dependence on social housing supports among the children and siblings of respondents along with some evidence that higher levels of neighbourhood social housing are also associated with intergenerational dependence.
